The Dancing the Art of Jonathan Green performed by the Columbia City Ballet on February 27, 2010 at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance in Chicago.
This innovative dance event was first staged in Columbia, South Carolina as a never-before-seen merging of art and dance rooted in the Gullah heritage. Off The Wall & Onto The Stage translates extraordinary images to the stage in a visionary return to classical ballet's blending of dance, music and fine art. Comprised of a series of vignettes taken directly from 22 of Jonathan's paintings, Off The Wall & Onto The Stage is a unique collaboration of the arts and an exhilarating testament to the lively, multi-cultural reality of the South.
